Tubewell Steel & Engg. Co. is a leading manufacturer and stockist specializing in Alloy Steel Pipes, Tubes, Fittings and Flanges for critical industrial applications.
ASTM A234 chrome-moly equal and reducing buttweld tees and crosses for branching high-temperature steam, boiler and process piping.
Tubewell Steel & Engg. Co. is a Mumbai-based manufacturer, stockist and supplier of alloy steel tees in ASTM A234 WP5, WP9, WP11, WP22 and WP91. Our seamless and welded equal tees, reducing tees and crosses provide strong, smooth branch connections in chrome-moly piping operating at high temperature and pressure.
Branch connections built for high-temperature alloy piping
Alloy steel buttweld tees split or combine flow at 90° in chrome-moly piping systems. An equal (straight) tee has the same size on the run and branch, while a reducing tee has a smaller branch outlet. Crosses provide four-way connections. Because the branch region of a tee carries the highest stresses in a piping system, a seamless, properly heat-treated A234 tee gives far better reliability than a fabricated stub-in branch, especially in creep service.
Our tees are manufactured by hydraulic bulging or hot extrusion of seamless A335 pipe, followed by heat treatment appropriate to the grade – annealed or normalized and tempered for WP5 to WP22, normalized and tempered for WP91. Run and outlet center-to-end dimensions conform to ASME B16.9, ends are bevelled per ASME B16.25 and every tee is supplied with EN 10204 3.1 certificates, with IBR and TPI available on request.
